I was thinking about the Fae, as usual, and wrote a poem.:

Na Daoine Maithe

Come away with us dearest child,
Together we will dance away earth sunsets
Laugh away earth moonrises

The days pass quickly as our festivities

Forget not of where you came from
But remember us always
We are the Folk you dreamt of

I will come away with you, dearest dreamlings
You and I, we will dance away sunrises
Laugh away the moonsets

These days will fly free as does my imagination

Imaginary, are we not, real as you or her
Need them see us, to knoweth our truth?
Intwined are our worlds, delicate and fierce
One more link in the chain of wonder

Do you believe?

I will not forget my birthland
I will remember you always my real home
Like nothing I’ve ever dreamt of

I always knew it was so...

I see through dreaming eyes, like no other child
We are intwined in harmony, together we play out life
One more link in the chain of dreams

I believe.

I hear your music, soft and faint
Like no other child
Tunes of peace and wisdom, leading my way
I hear your whispers and laughter

Guiding me back home, take me home

Together we will be
The Folk they dreamt of;
Hear our whispers of reassurance
Like the wings of the chain

Echos of laughter let you know

Listen well and do not forget
It is almost time, treasure what you have
Do not fear to let go
Together we will be
The Folk they dreamt of

I didn't write this-- this is from one of my favorite musical artists,.. It reminds me of the Fae dancing at dusk.

by Loreena McKennitt -

The Mummers' Dance

When in the springtime of the year
When the trees are crowned with leaves
When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew
Are dressed in ribbons fair

When owls call the breathless moon
In the blue veil of the night
The shadows of the trees appear
Amidst the lantern light

Chorus:
We've been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

Who will go down to those shady groves
And summon the shadows there
And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms
In the springtime of the year

The songs of birds seem to fill the wood
That when the fiddler plays
All their voices can be heard
Long past their woodland days

Chorus

And so they linked their hands and danced
Round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
When all the shades are gone

"A garland gay we bring you here
And at your door we stand
It is a sprout well budded out
The work of our Lord's hand"

The Forest Angel Remembers
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Forest Angel remembers days gone by,
Blue birds sang of love,
Wolves howling at night,
And beavers in their wood tree homes-
Everything was right.
The angel of the woods remembered when
Feathered men with peace pipes
Walked along the leaf floor then.
She rememberd crystal rocky peaks
Where eagles flew unharmed;
To search the food they'd seek,
To their prey's alarm;
And she rememberd roaming elk and moose,
Near rippling creeks of water,
Splashing rocks and running loose,
With Joy that life had taught her.
Ahhh, the past! How beautiful!
But now the wolves are gone.,
The trees cut down, the red men dead,
Away the birds have flown.
The angel cried and prayed
and asked to suffer for an Earth that died.
She danced and the wind blew,
She danced upon the lakes.
She danced and noone saw her,
All for the Forest's sake.
A dance of restoration
She danced upon the Earth,
And without hesitation,
She danced to bring rebirth.
And God of Earth had heard her
And saw the tears she shed,
And told her He would have His way,
Renew the Earth, He said.
So she looks across the mountains,
As she guards the forest glens,
She hears a dove cry softly,
With tears she felt again.
She knows it won't be far,
When miles to the stars,
She'll hear the wolf howl,
And all will be right then.
The Fairy Ring by Singh Khaur and Gary Stadler.
This above is a song poem, interpreted by the most harmonious melodies I ever heard.
One of it I use even instead of poisonous substances in case of insomnia , it is the : "A spark in the night" the most beautiful lullaby ever.
Pinakiaaltoo, Here is the link to that song!
http://www.whisperscastle.com/PageFNS.html (that page has background music with the lyrics.. really beautiful!)
A Spark In The Night
From a spark in the night
Unto the fairy veil
Transforming love
Into Beings so frail
Visions of light
Within Divine
Come from the Heavens
Beyond space and time
These the truths
In songs we sing.
They belong to you...
The ones who see all
Poem from
Fairy of the Woods CD
also:
Sometimes
on a clear moonlit evening
when the forest is still,
the reflections of stars ripple and dance
and the warm glow of the fire
beckons you to sleep....
Sometimes
you can see fairies
dancing and flitting about the tree branches...
gossamer wings gliding
across the night skies
leaving trails of stardust in their wakes.
Sometimes
you can hear the soft beat
of fairy wings flying near,
making wondrous music that
catches you in its spell...
your heart soars up to join the flight
as you balance gently on the edge of dreams.
and:
Fairy Ring
'Twas a longing came into my heart,
I could not sense the name...
It tore me from my sheltered hearth,
and swift to nature came
The beauty of the soft green hills,
the singing of the trees...
They left my soul more empty still,
I could not find a peace,
I could not find a peace...
I saw the shining Fairy Ring,
myself within it's Heart...
And I found a lonely comfort,
Though its magic touched me not.....
Its magic touched me not.....
I wandered by a running stream,
and touched its stones for strength,
Then I settled 'neath a great oak tree,
and drifted into sleep.
It lifted me with gentle boughs,
and took me far away.
When I awoke, the darkest night
had chased away the day
I lay within the Fairy Ring,
myself within it's Heart...
And I found a lonely comfort, yet...
The magic touched me not.....
The magic touched me not.....
My mind a whirl of clouded dreams,
I knew not where I dwelt...
Yet in that shining Fairy Ring,
a calming warmth I felt.
Oh thrice I called unto the Fey,
and thrice about was turned...
I fell upon the living earth,
and in that moment learned.
For there that night I felt a touch,
and in that moment knew
The Fairy magic had revealed
my hearts desire most true....
For in that touch I felt such love,
and in that moment knew
that I did touch a perfect love
my hearts desire so true
...my hearts desire so
I lay within the Fairy Ring...
Myself within it's Heart,
And I found a lonely comfort, yet
The love that I had sought
My words and wants are stilled within,
My heart has filled so much...
I oft return to the magic ring
To feel the fairy touch.
Oh now when ere the moon is full
I bid my cares depart,
And kneel within the shining ring
To touch the fairies heart,
To touch the fairies heart
To touch the fairies heart
Fly Away
with me
touch my hand and we'll soar...
Hold me close, fly away
to the stars
Fly away with me.
Let your dreams light your path
Through the night...
fly away
To your heart...
Re: POETRY .. FOR THEM
Postby Boldykat on Mon Nov 03, 2008 9:30 pm
I got this from the lyrics of the song, "Last Rose of Summer (Intro)Walking in the Air" by Celtic Woman
(The CD is blue with a picture of a curly red haired woman ..one of the group members I guess.. on the front)
You can just visualize yourself holding hands with the "shining people" and the Sylphs and having fun with them through the air!
Image
"Walking in the Air
Floating in the Sky..........
Dancing in the Air.....
We're Walking in the Air
We're floating in the moonlit sky,
The people far below
Are sleeping as we fly.....
We're holding very tight,
I'm riding in the midnight blue...
I'm finding I can fly
so high above with you....
All across the World
The villages go by like trees,
the rivers and the hills,
The forests and the streams,
Children gaze up above
Taken by surprise,
Nobody down below
Believes their eyes,
We're surfing in the air,
We're swimming in the frozen sky,
We're drifting over,
I see mountains floating by,
Suddenly,
Swooping low
On an Ocean Deep,
Rising up, a mighty monster
Awakens from his sleep.;
We're walking in the air
We're dancing in the midnight sky,
And everyone who sees us
Greets us as we fly...."
The Best Things
The Best Things
Cashmere coats?
Silken shoes and diamond rings?
I normally would have sought those things;
Until a Fae
Came my way,
And opened portals to a Realm anew
And showed me Treasures
That I never knew....
Wildjay just wrote this poem last night.. it's beautiful!!
Image
Take my hand as mermaids cry of jealousy
And as we fly in to the night sky and into are dreams,
In the morning you'll find me next to you;
As i stare in your blue bright eyes thats so lively and full of life
As we will stand together ...forever
Because time will not fade
when we stand together,
No want of love..forever..forever
The Lake of Stars and Dreams
Postby Boldykat on Sat Nov 29, 2008 1:57 pm
Here's another poem by WildJay..that he posted over at the Faerie Portals forum I just had to put it here:
Image
As i look into the sky i faded with the clouds into the heavens lights,
As the wind whispered to me -"fairy world",
As i know this is not the world my spirit was in-
but the dream my heart is in,
no war ,no dying
Just watch me skip in the lake,
The lake of stars and dreams
Without no care of where it will lead me,
i'll remember this day as a love one's face...
Why, why did you disappear like the hot desert sand in a summer breeze?
Why did you let go of her hands?
Was it because you love her and didn’t want to see her suffer
Because of people that didn’t want to see you together. Why?
Why did you have to be such a tease?
You showed her your love and she showed you her tears and secrets.
She showed you her harsh coldness of her body you showed her the warmth and joy of life.
and I just sat back down and smiled.
But now you showed her everything she’s lost,
And now you just lie under the earth- next to each other,
And as you guys fly into the stars.....she just can’t let go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take my hand as mermaids cry of jealousy
And as we fly into the night sky and into our dreams,
In the morning you'll find me next to you;

As I stare in your blue bright eyes that’s so lively and full of life
As we will stand together ...forever
Because time will not fade
when we stand together,

Nor will our love. Forever...Forever

look into the sky as I faded with the clouds into the heavens lights,
As the wind whispered to me -"Fairy world",
As I know this is not the world my spirit was in-
but the dream my heart is in,
no war, no dying

Just watch me skip in the lake,
The lake of stars and dreams
Without no care of where it will lead me,

I’ll remember this day as a loved one's face..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sand so beautiful so calming so lively
watch me draw my memories with the magic of the sand:
a rosé , a lily.
Watch my memories fade in the sand,
Watch the summer breeze blow away the memories
into dreams and reality.
Watch me melt with the sand.
As you walk remember to draw your memories in the sands.
I’ll be waiting for you.
sand so beautiful so calming so lively
watch me draw my memories with the magic of the sand ;
a rose, a lily.
watch my memories fade in the sand.
and watch the summer breeze blow away the memories into dreams and reality.
I'll be waiting for your memories...
Gnoble Caste of Gnome
Postby Boldykat on Sun Dec 07, 2008 8:12 pm
The garden gnome
Little plastic gnome ,cracked and chipped
with silly grin and cone shaped hat
and jacket that is ripped,
You stand for more than what man claims,
Your heart is taller
than the tallest man,
You minister to the soil in rains
And energize the land.
A true servant of the Earth
Oh noble Caste of gnome
An Angel of the Earth since birth
You make the land your home,
And home for creature, plant and stone
Oh noble caste of Gnome.
From the Ascension
Postby Boldykat on Sun Dec 07, 2008 8:40 pm
Image
This poem was written years ago.. I kept it in my poetry journal because it touches me so much.
It's Jesus showing compassion for a little bird , remembering his pain of thorns days before..
...Near the green quiets of a little wood,
The Master halted silently and stood.
The figs were purpling and a fledgling dove
Had fallen form a windy bough above,
And lay there crying feebly by a thorn,
It's little body bruised and forlorn;
He stepped aside a moment from the rest,
And put it safely back into the nest..
A Ballad of the Trees and the Master
Postby Boldykat on Sun Dec 07, 2008 8:48 pm
Image
This poem is another old poem written by Sidney Lanier showing the love between God and His Creation..
Into the woods my Master went,
Clean far spent
Into the woods my Master came,
Far spent with love and shame,
But the olives, they were not blind to Him
The little grey leaves were kind to Him,
The thorn tree had a mind to Him
When into the Woods He came;
Out of the woods my Master went,
And He was well content,
Out of the woods my Master came,
Content with death and shame;
When death and shame would woo Him last,
From under the trees they drew Him last,
T'was on a tree they slew Him --last.
When out of the woods He came
