Wood Fairy Encounter

Postby Boldykat on Sat Jan 03, 2009 10:04 pm

I found this encounter..relayed to the author recently by someone she met who had a very real Nature Guardian encounter and who had a message to send him. http://thetwilighttales.blogspot.com/20 ... fairy.html

"While hiding from football fever last weekend I found myself sitting in a sunny courtyard having esoteric discussions with an old man dressed in robes, whom I'd never met before. After a few questions (Was I Irish? Did I believe in things unseen? Would I like some tea?) he discovered that I had an interest in things unseen and proceeded to tell me of the time he saw a fairy.

Mostly I have no interest in fluttery-fairy stories, but this one was a little different and I could tell in his eyes that he wasn't making it up to impress me or such, so I thought you'd like to hear about it.

He was in Scotland and was bush-walking (or indeed whatever one calls it over there) and broke off from the group to 'answer a call of nature'. As he found a distant and suitable tree he stood and did his thing when he noticed a tiny figure in the stream nearby.
He watched the creature - as high as your knee with dark hair, very pretty and naked, with long ears like a picture-book would suggest but no earlobes of any description. She also had two lumps on her back.

The creature noticed his presence and approched him confidently and told him in a language he wasn't sure was english (but he understood it anyway) that his life was going to change weather he liked it or not. This is where the details get sketchy as the gentleman said she 'pumped' her lumps a bit like a ladybird...only I've never seen a ladybird do anything that could be described as pumping...but anyway - apparently the lumps moved aside and amber insect wings emerged and she disappeared.

He returned to the group and a Scotsman saw his white face and knew straight away that he'd seen one of the 'wee folk' that apparently lived in the area.

The story ends there because food was brought out and we started eating...."

Fairy Friends Encounter

Faery Friends
by Marlene

It was on the 22nd of June, 1999. I remember it so well. It was around 9 p.m. and I was outside under the growing moon. I was facing the east with my arms stretched up too the sky and I was asking for blessings for all the beautiful people upon Mother Earth. I turned around and looked up on top of the roof of the house, and there hovering about four feet above the tiles were two glowing lights! At first I was logically thinking, maybe it's a cobweb and is glowing under the moon's rays. But no, whatever it was was hovering up and down - both of these glowing light's!

Suddenly, I had this feeling come over me that whatever it was wasn't bad but good. I held my left hand out (the hand too receive) and I said, "It's okay, you can come to me. I mean you no harm." The glowing balls of light hovered down. Then I could see quite clearly that they were faeries. The female one landed right on my left hand, and I could see there was a male faerie hovering just back from her about eight inches away! My feelings told me that these beautiful beings were there for me for a special reason.

Just then my eldest daughter came running out the back door; she was having trouble getting the lid off something and needed help. They were scared away. They just dissapeared like that! I was taken aback with awe and wonder what I had just experienced. After my encounter, I did much research into faeries to learn all about them. I feel that these faeries have some connection with me now; I feel them close by even though they have not shown themselves again to me since this night. I leave them gifts.

The Nest of Fairies

Nest of Fairies
by Doug Harrington

I have a large house with numerous fields and paddocks in the countryside and often go for long walks around my land. I went on one walk at the beginning of winter so that all of the leaves had fallen, and I noticed two empty birds nests in easy climbing distance. I often collect them as I am a keen bird watcher and like to collect nests, old egg shells etc.

I came back to the fields with my ladder and climbed to collect them and I saw the strangest thing of my life. In the bird's nest were little, winged people. I was certain that whatever they were, they could only be described as fairies. They looked to be all female and were dancing around in circle. They looked exactly like humans, but only an inch tall and wearing clothes that looked to be made out of leaves.

I watched them for about an hour and they never took notice of me, so I went to go and get my wife. When I returned, they were still there and remained there for the whole of winter. My wife couldn't believe it, but was also certain they were fairies. About mid-March I went out go and check on them as I usually did, but they were gone. They never returned next winter. Every day, my wife and I went to watch them, and whether they were dancing, sleeping or just playing, they never took notice of me.

Faery Sightings http://paranormal.about.com/library/bls ... e08_06.htm
by Shiherostar

The first time I encountered faeries was in the forest near the beach in Florence, Oregon. We go there every summer to attend an electronic music event that takes place on the beach. My boyfriend and I decided to take a walk up the gravel road that leads us out onto the beach but is right in the middle of a beautiful forest. As we were walking, I heard giggling and rustling, but there was no one around. No one. I didn't say anything to my boyfriend because we had been up all night dancing and I was tired. I heard it again and asked him if he heard it and he said he had heard it, but didn't want to say anything. Both of us then knew that it was faeries in the forest that were giggling at us. It was amazing. My boyfriend is not the kind to believe in this sort of thing, but he has been a believer ever since.

My second encounter: My boyfriend and I and some friends decided to take a trip to the beach one warm sunny day and we took a different route then usual because my boyfriend's friend was driving. We spotted a waterfall on the side of the road and we decided to pull off the road and check it out. It was down a little path that leads into the forest. I took a bunch of pictures and then we went on our way. A few months later I was looking through the waterfall photos that I had uploaded months before and there he was... a little faery sitting on a log. I showed my boyfriend and he couldn't believe how clear it turned out. Now I am not sure what type of faery it is, but it surely is one. We went back about a year later and there was nothing that resembled the faery on the log.

This is a reply to a post I had over at Curezone.com asking anyone if they had seen any fairies. :

"My niece was out walking one day and saw what she described as a blue fairy trying to pick up a pop can. Being from different vibrations, the fairie's hands could not connect to the aluminum. My niece picked up the can and took it with her to put it in a garbage can. She has been able to see ghost most of her life. Her sister can see auras around people and objects. Their mother can feel energy."

My immediate feeling on this encounter is that the blue fairie was teaching her neice an object lesson. The lesson was .. "Can you help us ? They would like us to be their hands and feet for them . The fairies help the Earth and animals spiritually and etherically, but we humans were designed to work with them PHYSICALLY! They cannot pick up the garbage, but we CAN.

The fairie was showing the girl in the most simplest way about human cooperation with the Faes.

" i know your site isn't about elves but maybe you want to put this on it anyway. i was about 7 or 8 and i was visting Germany to visit my grandma and uncle. my grandma lives in the country. it was a few days after christmas and i got a pair of *banoculars* . my grandma had a garden with veggies and stuff. i saw a young boy running in the distance i looked through my present and saw the boy. he was wearing a long green robe. well i was following him with my binaculars and he was running with a sort of a diagonal towards me. when he got close enough i saw a look in his face like he was running from something and then i saw his ears. they were pointed like an elf's. i went inside and told my mom and grandma but they didn't beliave me but i was posotive i saw him. lately i have been having dreams
about that day and the boy with the green robe."

"On Christmas eve my great aunt passed away of Lou Gherig's Disease. She was a strict Christian" woman, and a non-believer in such things as faries. Shortly before her passing, about two weeks, on up until she passed, she saw faries. Though she could not speak as the disease progressed, she could communicate by blinking her eyes and grunting. Apparently they stayed around her room scattered about. She became furious and grunted loudly for fear that "we" the non-seeing, would step on them. She starred at "them" for hours throughout each day. Her daughter, a non-believer remains distraught at her mother's visions. I am not sure what to believe, but I think we as humans vibrate on a different level than other mystical things around us. Perhaps as her passing neared she began to vibrate on their level and was able to see them. The experience has made me curious, to say the least and that is how I have stumbled upon this site. Happy hunting all." - Tracy

"I'm in my 30s now but that hasn't stopped me from knowing there is other life besides ours in this world. I've had many experiences with weird things, but I've also felt the presence of fairies, and even saw one outside my bedroom window while taking a nap one day.
The place where I feel them the strongest is up at our central Idaho mountain property, where we used to mine gold (maybe that's what happened to so much of it...but that's another story;) Not only I, but family members and friends have said they felt strange presences up there, and felt they were always being watched. I always seem to see these mini whirlwinds crossing my path and kicking up leaves as if it's walking with me. I also notice that a breeze always seems to pick up among the trees when I'm around. They know I'm there. Anyway, back in July 1991, I was standing just a few feet away from a very deep grove of trees in an older part of the forest off the main dirt road. The inner part of this grove is not visible from the road, and that whole country is very isolated and wild
with a lot of forests and meadows.
Maybe some of the fae moved out West because it's too populated with humans at the East part of the country. I'm mentioning this because a close friend had a dramatic experience with a gnome family in Massechusetts when she was a kid. They all looked dirty and unkempt, but kindly, and were all traveling to get away from the "big uns" as they told her. She swears up and down to this day it really happened, and that her whole family unsuprizingly laughed at her when she told them about it. Now, her homestate IS overrun by pollution, buildings and crime and the old forests and wilderness that used to be there is almost wiped out.
As for my experience, I didn't SEE this fairy, but I FELT her, very strongly! I was alone as I stood in this enclosed clearing and was about to walk away when I felt the most beautiful female presence behind me in the trees, and for some reason felt it was above me, but not very high. The presence was hard to explain. It was ageless, and natural yet supernatural at the same time. And it was definately feminine. I sensed she lived there and might have even been a guardian for that wood. The feeling was so strong it was like she was literally reaching out to me with her presence, like she wanted me to know she was there. Like she trusted me, and knew I was different. I might even write a story about it one of these days, a fiction one. I've been inspired to do that recently about fairies in general anyway.
This summer, when I go back up there, I'll once again take some walks to see if I can feel or see
anything. That place is so special to me now. It's always been beautiful, but now it's no longer lonely. As for the little brownie I saw, that's what I call him, because that's what he looked like. This guy scared me! I woke up from a nap in one of our cabins and saw him staring in the window at me, just for a second or two. I don't know how long he'd been there, but it made me nervous. One of my friends told me she thinks he's a house brownie, those little "helpers" who sometimes clean stuff up, and sometimes rearrange it. They make themselves at home just a like the family cat or dog. He was weird looking, too. He was all brown and greyish colored, and had this frizzy curly short hair. He had round eyes but slightly slanted dark blue eyes and he was REAL short, like 3 feet or so, maybe less.
He was also skinny, and was wearing a short sleeved something or other that blended with his skin color. I don't know why he was watching me sleep. If he shows up again, I'll start calling him Tom, for Peeping Tom! I have no idea what he does, but he seems mischievious though harmless. My family's had that property since the 1930s, and my grandparents both came from Ireland and Scotland, so who knows, maybe we inherited their fairies! LOL!!!
Anyway, as far as this report, I'm dead serious, and wouldn't make up something like it unless it's in a fiction story, and even some of those are based on fact. Even where I'm living now, in a rural part of southern Idaho, I frequently have dreams about them. I'm very psychic and I think they pick up on that, so it's easier for! us to connect. Who knows. Anyway, that's my story, and it might be added to if anything else happens this summer. I'm going up there again as soon as the roads clear, probably May or June (it's 7,000 feet up, so it takes awhile for the snow to melt up there!). I'm just happy that if the fairies are real, and I think they are, that they have a beautiful, unpolluted, unpopulated place to live that they don't have to worry about losing, and neither does our human family. Thanks for listening.
Kelli"

"I saw a whole villiage of fairies at Warren Light center where my mom and step dad lived it is in Pa. I was about 10 or 11 years old and I was with my brother and sister and she told us we were imagining things for we heard giggles and saw a bunch of little lights under a grove of trees and I fell and I saw this beautiful rainbow colored fairy and my sister shut up when she saw her and my brother just sat down and then my sister and we saw a villiage of houses and then the fairy spoke and asked us to be more careful where we walk in the woods and then we saw blue and green fairies dance around us and I felt such warmth and comfort from them and then we heard dad calling and they went away.
When we told dad he said we were blessed by the fairies and their queen to a rare and special visit from them and to obey them on watching we walk and to give them our respect for coming to us and opening their homes to us. I will always love fairies after this and it is a shame my sister says it didn't happen and dad was lying about the fairies cause they planned to scare us and it was all a joke. Well I know better and I know I was visited by the fairies and allowed to see their villiage. I love your site and now i am going to work on seeing fairies more just by believing in them and wait for them to come to me again." Princess White Dove

One Midsummer Day I and my best friend at the time, Anna, were exploring a forest we came across in her neighborhood. The forest was not too close to houses but straight from her backyard. As we were arguing on a matter I stumbled over a huge log, which was blocking the path we were walking. Anna, who hadn’t even noticed I tripped, kept going and carrying on the conversation. As I attempted picked myself up, I noticed a bright, white figure floating about no more than two inches in front of my face. I just stared in curiosity. Once I began to make out the figure I realized at once it was a fairy. She was all one color, but bright. Her wings weren’t at all still, but fluttering intensely. She had a calm expression on her face. And a dress on that looked almost, of which, the same as Tinkerbelle’s. Not exactly knowing what to do, I quietly spoke, “Anna”! She stopped mid-sentence and turned around frowning. Neither of us said a word. Then for a strange reason I slowly reached my hand out moving it closer as if to touch her. She sprang back quietly and flew away into the wood. Me, now sitting on the log, looked up at Anna and spoke, “I think we just saw a…fairy”.

It happened at age 10.It started October 2007. I was going camping with my family. Everyone was going to get firewood, but I stayed behind because I was too cold. I was sitting by the dimmed fire when I saw a yellow glowing ball skid across the lake. It flew up and started to zoom about. It looked like a big yellow firefly with huge butterfly wings. I heard a really high-pitched voice whisper my name but that time men were going hunting. So when I heard a gun shot, It disappeared. That was the one time that I ever thought that I saw a fairy."

This encounter is interesting to me because I, and another person here on this forum both saw a similar Fae. I saw a yellow glowing ball of light glide along the ceiling of my bedroom the Sunday morning after a night of prayers for the safety of all the Faeries that Suziboo26 had sent me from England. (The fairies had come from a wooded area near her home that was being cut down, and she had asked them to enter into objects she enclosed in the package, so that they could come over to my area in the U.S.A.. as we have alot of woodlands and farmland here) I was concerned that they would arrive safely as it was taking forever for the box to arrive. She was concerned as well.

That Sunday morning, I awoke with a feeling of total peace and love.. as though being visited by angels. I saw the moving yellow globe of light gliding along the ceiling as I was laying peacefully in bed. That following Monday I recieved the package!

Alley F.- MO, USA age 12

Each night I stay up late because I often sleep in. Well, I was one night, maybe a week or two ago, and I was reading. It was pretty quiet in my room, which was nothing new. But I kept hearing little rasping sounds, kind of like footsteps. I wasn't sure what to think of it at first. I guess it was one of my posters rubbing against the wall because of my fan. So, I went and checked each one, but they were all tapped down pretty solid. What's more, the noise was becoming distinctive to my ears. I knew I had to find the source of it if I wished to have any peace during the night to come. I decided to figure where the sounds were coming from first.

I sat on my floor and was totally silent as I waited. Plunk, tap, chi. I listened to them the best I could until I noticed they were from out side my bedroom window. My window is just above this sort of bush thing in my back yard that's been there since before my family moved in. I went to look out my window, but it was hard to see because of the plastic my dad put over all the windows in the house to keep it cool in the summer. I had to peel it off a little before I could twist the blinds open. The rhythmic tapping paused for a moment that felt like forever before it started up again. Plunk, tap, chi. My eyes strained to focus in the dark. Soon, after I'd been staring at a particular spot on the grassy floor of my yard, I could make out two, tiny, snow-white figures.

I didn't know what to think at first. They were two males. One with hair so blonde, it seemed white in the night pulled back in a tiny ponytail in the back. The other with raven black hair that lay neatly cropped short. Their skin had an unnatural glow to it. That made me wonder why I had to adjust my eyes to see them more clearly. Also, I should have been in a state of shock while I watched the black haired figure pound away on a small branch of my bush. It must've been one of those things that's so wonderful, so absolutely amazing, that you can almost, maybe believe it's happening. Of course, while I gawked down at them in my magic induced state, I didn't realize the white haired one was looking up at me. We stared quietly at each other as if we were strangers on a bus, sharing a seat. By the expression on his face, which was pure curiosity and caution, I could tell that he had never seen a human. Just as I had never seen something like him.

The few minutes that I spent examining the two magical figures could have ran on for hours until my little friend (as I often call the white haired boy) and his company seemingly decided that their business in my yard, by my bush, was finished. I watched intently as they left, but there was this feeling in my stomach telling me to bang my fist as hard as I could against my window and beg the serine little people to stay longer. It was horrid to have to suppress that feeling because I knew that this memory was one that would keep me awake for nights to come and after that I would still ponder over my sighting and wander if it was real. Wander if I was just too tired. But they left. They left in a little flash of silver light. They were barely noticeable, coming and going. I stayed up late and thought about what they could be. My first thought was fairies. Then, I realized that they had no wings. Nor did they wear flowers and leaves as clothes, just cloaks made out of some silvery, soft material. So, could they be fairies? Do fairies have to be like those in storybooks and Disney movies? Of course not. If they were, then they would've been caught ages ago! So, they could have been fairies. Then again, they could have been anything.

"yea, it disappeared…weird, huh? :)thanks for the reply! :)

me and my mom and my little brother made a fairy garden with lots of rocks, grass, and flowers around it. we painted the rocks and put glitter on them. i printed out all the fairy symbols and taped them to my front door (on the outside)and, that night, mom got this really weird feeling that they were in the gareden. we looked out the window and there were like 15 fairys!!!! omg, it was amazing. they were glowing red and one little one was glowing blue. we took so many pictures of them from the window. my mom said they were “checking out” our garden. she also said that they really liked it. (my mom is a true blue bleliever like me.)we printed out the pics and i put my fav. one on my wall. sorry, but i don’t think i can post the pics on here…my computer doesn’t let me, i have tried 25 times already! so, so, so sorry! i wish i could put them on here. and before that big fairy appearence, i communicated with a little fairy named Catherine. she is 10 years old (thats what she told me.) she told me that more fairys were going to visit my garden…and so, they did! i can’t wait to see them again, it was SO cool. i saw them flying around…they DO look like orbs!

i’ll come again because i like to find info on fairys to help me with my fairy encounters and my garden! this site is so amazing, i love it.

bye, see ya!

"Grateful to have tripped on your site and the information within.
Some years ago in Sacramento, CA, every evening after dinner I would take a glass of iced tea and go to the vegetable garden and enjoy the reverie there. Several evenings I was joined by (I think) a leprechaun. He always perched on the closest border of the raised bed to me and looked me directly in the eye. I believe him to be a leprechaun because of his size (approx. 3 feet) and his dress including the cap and shoes. The clothing appeared to be leather. He always smiled and stayed each time only briefly. I loved the encounters and wished for more. Because of that I believe they show themselves ONLY when they want to. I have not since then been allowed to view one but have felt the presence often of elementals, including tree spirits.
The information I have received from your site tonight has given me insights I didn’t have before regarding action on my part toward contacting them. I will work on that now and am looking forward to positive results as I truly feel that they are all around us wishing us to work with the beautiful environment we have been given"
